POLICE have out in the area carrying out roadside speed checks.
Officers from Malmesbury Police were out checking speeds in Leigh, Latton, Ashton Keynes and Cricklade, yesterday, Monday, April 8.
In Ashton Keynes, the fastest vehicle was caught speeding at 53mph - which was over the 40mph limit.
Meanwhile, in Leigh no one was caught speeding.
A police spokesperson said: “The vast majority of the drivers were excellent in adhering to the speed limit.
“In total four drivers were issued with notices of intended prosecution for excessive speeding.”
