A CALL has gone out for volunteers to help with an exciting event.
The Civil War re-enactment group the Devereux Regiment – Malmesbury Carnival Procession regulars - are preparing for two special performances on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 and need behind the scenes help.
The group will transport the audience back in time by restaging an attack which took place in Abbey Row in 1644 during the Civil War and are seeking volunteers to help this run smoothly.
Volunteers are needed for a range of tasks such as audience direction, stewarding, merchandising, participant co-ordination, and stage set up.
The team will be operating in two-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 5pm.
The busiest time will be on Sunday afternoon, between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, when the roads need to be closed for the re-enactment.
If you are interested in offering a shift or two, please email willptaylor@btinternet.com.
