WORSHIPPERS marched through Cirencester yesterday to mark the start of Easter.
A large group congregated at Ashcroft Church in Cirencester on Friday morning, March 29 for the annual Churches Together Good Friday service.
Afterwards, Matt Frost, senior pastor at Cirencester Baptist Church, led the Walk of Witness procession, while carrying a large wooden cross, to the Market Place.
The Walk of Witness is an annual Good Friday tradition where Christians of different denominations and of no affiliation mark the Easter journey.
This year's bustling procession comprised of a band, a large 'Jesus died to save us all' banner and a trail of families and worshippers munching on hot cross buns.
The walk was followed by an open air service outside the St. John Baptist Church amongst the buzz of the market.
Delighted onlookers sang hymns and eagerly listened to Matt recount the Easter story.
