A ROAD closure on one of Cirencester's busiest roundabouts has been extended as an investigation into a water leak issue continues.
Gloucestershire County Council recently closed part of Kingsmeadow Roundabout so an excavation could take place.
Drainage engineers visited the site today, Monday, March 25 to help determine where the water is coming from and what the solution might be.
GCC launched this thorough investigation because the leak was damaging the carriageway and posed a risk to motorists driving around the roundabout.
Due to the closure, motorists are currently unable to drive through a section of the roundabout, but all approaches and exits remain open.
Diversion signs have been put in place to guide traffic.
Excavation work started on Monday, March 18 and GCC will be providing updates about this on Twitter.
