DATES and locations have been announced for an exciting roadshow which aims to encourage residents across the Cotswolds to keep active and healthy.
Cotswold District Council is working with Freedom Leisure and One Gloucestershire to put on a Health and Wellbeing Roadshow, as part of the Active Cotswold programme.
The NHS bus will be stopping off at various towns across the Cotswolds over the next few months, offering a space to sit and chat to the health experts.
It will be a chance for residents to talk to professionals about any health concerns they might have or get guidance about how to become more active.
Attendees can also get involved in exercise demonstrations or get their blood pressure checked at the events.
The bus will be at the following locations between 10am and 3pm:
- Cirencester Market Place - Thursday. April 4
- Chipping Campden Library - Tuesday, April 16
- Stow Market Square - Thursday, April 25
- Moreton-in-Marsh Town Centre - Monday, May 20
- Northleach Westwoods Centre - Thursday, June 20
- Tetbury Tesco - Thursday, June 27
- Bourton-on-the-Water Co-op - Friday, June 28
- Fairford Community Centre - Wednesday, July 3
Paul Hodgkinson, CDC cabinet member for health, leisure and culture, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for residents to come and speak to the experts about everything health and wellbeing.
“I really encourage everyone to make the most of this opportunity and join us on the Active Cotswold Roadshow.”
Jason Evans, from Freedom Leisure, said: “This roadshow is all about getting people moving and being more active.
“If you would like support and information on how to be more active, please join us.
"It’s been great to work collaboratively with the council to put on this roadshow and we’re hopeful it will benefit many local people.”
