RESIDENTS have been urged to remain vigilant after thieves broke into a house yesterday in broad daylight.
Police believe thieves smashed a window and broke its locks to gain entry to the unoccupied property in Charlham Way, Down Ampney sometime between 2.30pm and 3.10pm on Wednesday, March 13.
Officers have asked any villagers in the area who have ring door bell/ CCTV footage from this time frame to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: "Local officers are appealing for information to help identify a suspect following a house burglary in Down Ampney.
"It is possible that the offenders were disturbed as the victim reported that not much of value was stolen.
"If you have footage that you think would be useful to police or saw anything suspicious in the village then please let us know."
