POLICE were called to a report that a crane had come off the carriageway in Kemble this morning.
Officers say the incident happened on the A429 Thames Head road in Kemble shortly before 6.40am this morning, Wednesday, March 6.
A road closure is currently in place between the A429 road in Kemble and the A433 Tetbury Road junction.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: "We were called to the A429 Thames Head in Kemble shortly before 6.40am this morning with a report that a heavy lifting crane had come off the road.
"Recovery has been arranged for the crane and a road closure has been put into place by Highways colleagues."
