GRANTS are available for innovative project ideas which help keep the Cotswold landscape beautiful for future generations.
The Cotswolds National Landscape team has invited charities, non-profits and town and parish councils to apply to their annual Caring for the Cotswolds scheme.
This scheme is a way for businesses and people to give something back to ensure the environment is taken care of.
Cotswolds National Landscape use donations to support projects that conserve vital habitats and species and protect the Cotswolds' heritage so it can be enjoyed by future generations.
Projects proposals need to fall within one the following four key themes:
- Conservation of habitats and species
- Education
- Heritage and landscape
- Improving Access
The scheme is offering grants between £500 and £2,500.
Application forms are available on Cotswolds National Landscape's website.
The deadline for applications is Friday, March 15 and grant decisions will be made in June.
Nina Stubbington, grants and access officer at Cotswolds National Landscape, said: “In the last round of grants, almost £20,000 was allocated across 12 exciting new projects.
"If your organisation is developing high-quality, impactful projects across our region, we are keen to hear from you.”
James Webb, partnerships lead at the organisation, said: "We’re interested in small projects that make a big difference to the quality of the natural environment, or help people access the countryside.
"We remain grateful to our business members, and their customers, whose generous contributions to this scheme help to keep the Cotswolds a special place to live, work and visit.”
