POLICE officers have urged anyone who witnessed the fatal crash which took place outside the popular Italian chain in Cheltenham last month to come forward.
The crash, which involved a 82-year-old pedestrian and a car, happened outside Prezzo on the Promenade in Cheltenham at around 9.38am on Tuesday, January 23.
The pedestrian was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he was treated for serious head injuries but died later that evening.
After reviewing CCTV footage from around the time of the incident, officers would like to speak to the drivers of the following vehicles, who they believe may have driven past the pedestrian moments before the collision:
• A white Audi A1
• A white Hyundai Ioniq Saloon
• A white Mercedes taxi
• A white Volkswagen SUV
• A grey Fiat 500
The elderly pedestrian was wearing a flat cap, a three-quarter length overcoat and was carrying a large umbrella.
Anyone who may have seen the man or may have dashcam or mobile phone footage from around the time of the collision has been urged to contact Gloucestershire police.
Information can be provided to the police by completing a form on Gloucestershire police's website quoting incident 106 of January 23.
