AN ELDERLY man has been taken to hospital after a crash took place in Cheltenham this morning.
Emergency services were called to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and car outside Prezzo in Cheltenham Promenade at around 9.50am on Tuesday, January 23.
An elderly man was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol to be treated for suspected serious injuries.
Police officers have urged anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
Information can be provided to the police by completing an online form on Gloucestershire police's website quoting 106 of January 23.
Road closures have been put into place from the Promenade to the junction with Imperial Square and from the Promenade turning into and out of St George's Road while emergency services remain at the scene.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area and to plan their journeys in advance.
