A TATTOO and piercing studio in Cirencester has won a national award.

Everlasting Impressions - which is based in Cricklade Street, Cirencester - was named the Best Piercing Studio in the nation at the England's Business Awards final.

More than 700 people attended the awards ceremony at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham last month.

Kelly Francis-lang runs the Cirencester studio with her partner James Haynes.

When Kelly first moved to Cirencester she noticed that many people drove to Swindon or Gloucester to get a tattoo or a piercing as these services weren't widespread in town.

She was training to be a midwife at the time but decide to switch direction and pursue more artistic ambitions.

In 2016 she decided to open her own studio Everlasting Impressions in Cricklade Street and hasn't looked back since.

The studio won an award for being the best body piercing studio in the south west earlier on in the year, but Kelly was shocked when she found out that they had also won the national title.

She said: "We were totally stunned when we found out the news.

"We won the south west award earlier in the year and in 2019 and thought that it couldn't get any better.

"When I found out we had been named best in England I cried and whooped and James and I were so happy.

"Still to this day it has not sunk in.

"What I love most about my job is meeting different people and seeing them happy with their new addition.

"I get to meet people from so many different walks of life."
