A COMPETITION aimed at providing funding for local, innovative and environmentally friendly projects has launched.
Cirencester Town Council has invited individuals and groups of all ages to submit sustainable ideas that would have a positive impact on the community.
Successful projects must focus on one of the three following themes; increasing biodiversity, reducing waste or minimizing carbon footprint.
The competition will be judged by a panel of independent judges, who will evaluate each proposal based on a set of criteria which includes innovation, feasibility, public benefit and impact, sustainability, and collaboration.
Applicants will have to showcase how their proposed project will contribute to the chosen theme and present a clear plan outlining how ongoing costs and required resources will be managed to ensure the successful implementation of their ideas.
The first prize winner will receive an award of £1,000 towards their project, while other exceptional entries will be awarded a share of £2,000, as determined by the judges.
Entry forms and more information about the competition can be found on the Cirencester Town Council's website.
The deadline for entries is Sunday, March 31.
Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the Town in April.
