A JAGUAR driver has been banned from the road and must pay more than £1,000 for drink-driving.
Julian Ainsworth, aged 63, of Station Road, South Cerney, was caught driving a Jaguar in High Street, South Cerney having consumed 61 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on Tuesday, October 24.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence on the same day at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 8.
For both these offences he was fined £807, must pay a victim surcharge of £323 plus £85 in costs - a total of £1,215.
Ainsworth has also been banned from driving for 18 months.
This could be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a drink-driving course by Friday, November 1 next year.
