A FLURRY of new hygiene ratings have been handed to an array of establishments in the Cirencester area.

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants and cafés in our area:

• Rated 5: Heather's at The Stable Yard, Black Jack Street, Cirencester; rated on October 25

• Rated 5: Dobbies Garden Centre in Siddington, Cirencester; rated on October 23

• Rated 5: Lynwood & Co Cafe at 20 Market Place, Cirencester; rated on October 23

• Rated 5: Luxe Cafe Bar at Swan Yard, West Market Place, Cirencester; rated on October 20

• Rated 5: Munch By Munch at 65 Castle Street, Cirencester; rated on October 20

• Rated 5: Relish Festive, 51 Castle Street, Cirencester; rated on October 20

• Rated 5: Greggs at Centurion Garage, Duntisbourne Abbots, Cirencester; rated on October 18

Food hygiene ratings reflect the hygiene standards which are found on the day of inspection by the local authority. 

The three areas which are inspected by a food safety officer are the food handling, the conditions of the facilities and the management of food safety.
