A TEENAGE boy has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Officers found the 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, carrying a weapon in Royal Wootton Bassett on Monday, November 6 following intelligence that a disorder was planned between two groups of young people.
He was arrested in town and was then released on bail with conditions not to enter Royal Wootton Bassett and to adhere to a curfew at his home address in Trowbridge.
A spokesperson for Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police said: "We are continuing to work closely with local schools and children’s services to prevent further incidents and safeguard all involved."
