A FALLEN tree has blocked a road near Cirencester during Storm Ciarán.

There have been reports today, Thursday, November 2 that a tree has fallen onto Cheltenham Road between Stratton and Cirencester Golf Club and has blocked traffic from going through.

Stagecoach West posted a tweet which said that its Swindon 51 service has been diverted via the A417 to Seven Springs due to the fallen tree therefore there will be delays to this service.

Update: Gloucestershire County Council has confirmed that the tree has now been cleared and that the road is due to reopen at 3.15pm.
