A NEW mini supermarket has opened its doors in a busy petrol station forecourt in Gloucestershire.
A small Waitrose shop - known as Little Waitrose - has opened in the Shell Oldbury petrol station near Stroud and junction 13 of the M5.
The new Waitrose store is part of a redevelopment of the site which started earlier this year in March.
The site has been completely transformed during construction, with the existing shop demolished and rebuilt with a new larger kiosk.
As part of the redevelopment, the car wash has also been removed with a new cycle rack and air and water machine installed as well as a new seating area.
New accessible toilets have also been built and car parking has been improved with 11 spaces and four new electric vehicle charging points.
Meanwhile, the forecourt has changed, the number of vehicles that can be fueled at the same time has decreased from 12 to six.
The petrol station is located near the Great Oldbury development and neighbours a Travelogue, Subway, and Starbucks.
