STUDENTS at The Cotswold School celebrated a great set of GCSE exam results this morning.
88 per cent of the Year 11 students achieved Grades 4-9 in all subjects.
More than 83 per cent of students achieved the benchmark of five or more grades, including in maths and English.
In addition, 37 per cent of grades achieved by this cohort were Grades 7-9.
Staff at The Cotswold School wanted to recognise some particular students for their outstanding achievements.
One Year 11 pupil Katy Ottaway achieved the top Grade 9 in seven of her subjects and four Grade 8s.
She has decided to study A levels in Spanish, religious studies, French and history.
Katie Havill achieved Grade 9 in seven subjects, three Grade 8s as well as a B in additional maths.
She has decided to study A levels in maths, biology, chemistry and geography.
Millicent Swait gained Grade 9 in seven subjects and two Grade 8s.
Millicent will go on to study art, maths and English literature at A level.
Blake Robinson gained Grade 9 in six subjects, a Grade 8, two Grade 7s as well as an A in additional maths.
He will study A levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.
Headteacher Mr Will Morgan said: “I am delighted with the positive results that our Year 11 students have achieved, reflecting the maturity and commitment students have shown towards their learning, revision and exams.
“Congratulations to our students on their achievements, and thank you to our teaching and support staff for their unwavering dedication and to our families for their continued support.”
Deputy Headteacher Mr Stu Smith added: “As a school, we go above and beyond to prepare and support everyone in their learning and we are immensely proud of our students’ achievements.”
