A 30-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist has been fined and banned from driving after being caught over the limit.
Luke Russell, of Athelstan Road, Malmesbury, was caught on a Kawasaki ZX600 while more than twice the alcohol limit on Tuesday, July 11.
A breath test when he was stopped on the B4696 at Braydon, Wiltshire showed he had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.
He admitted the offence at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (August 8), where he was disqualified from driving for 23 months.
Russell was fined £538 and must pay a £215 victim surcharge plus £85 costs.
The total amount of £838 must be paid by Friday, September 8 this year.
His ban will be reduced by 23 weeks if he completes a driving course by November 27, 2024.
