A 20-YEAR-OLD man from Cirencester has been charged with sexually assaulting a female.
He is alleged to have committed a sexual act against the female without consent in Cirencester on July 22, last year contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
In addition, the man is also charged with sending a text message containing indecent or grossly offensive content to a recipient in Cirencester between July 31 and August 8 last year - contrary to the Malicious Communications Act 1988.
The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 8.
The defendant has been released on conditional bail pending a plea hearing at the same court on Tuesday, August 15.
