A LEGENDARY children's TV presenter was spotted in Malmesbury yesterday.
One lucky resident managed to snap a selfie with Timmy Mallet and shared it on the Make Malmesbury Even Better Facebook page with the caption 'Timmy Mallet in Malmesbury, what an iconic children's TV presenter'.
Timmy Mallett is an English TV presenter, broadcaster, author and artist known for his striking visual style, colourful glasses, colourful shirts, and giant pink foam mallet as well as his 'utterly brilliant' and 'blaaah' catchphrases.
His career in television spans back to the 1980s when he was plucked from the radio to present The Wide Awake Club and spin-off series Wacaday for TV-am.
Since then he's presented lots of other programmes including Utterly Brilliant, Way to Go and Timmy Towers.
The presenter visited Malmesbury Abbey yesterday (Tuesday, July 11) and posted a video on his Facebook account showing his followers a Vulgate Refectory Bible Volume 3 from 1447.
