MEMBERS of a Cirencester-based guitar group have announced that they will perform with some special visitors next weekend.
Corinium Players Guitar Ensemble will perform at the Sundial Theatre in Cirencester with the award-winning Mēla Guitar Quartet on Saturday, July 15 at 7.30pm.
This guitar ensemble is made up of 40 classical guitarists who enjoy performing a mixture of classical, Spanish, Latin and popular music.
These Cirencester guitarists are thrilled to be sharing a stage with the quartet who have just returned from the USA after winning the Ensemble competition at the Guitar Foundation of America.
Together the group will be performing a selection of music from Carmen, Tchaikovsky’s the Nutcracker Suite and other popular pieces, including Pirates of the Caribbean.
