A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a three vehicle crash in Andoversford.
Emergency services were called shortly after 8.30pm last night (July 5) to a report of a collision just before the junction for Gloucester Road on the A436 in Andoversford.
The collision took place near to The Kilkeney Inn and involved a white and red Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, a second white Yamaha motorcycle and a silver Audi Q3.
One motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a serious but stable condition at this time.
His family have been informed.
The other motorcyclist has sustained minor injuries.
Road closures were into place between Seven Springs on the A436 and from the A40 towards Kilkenny before reopening at around 7.30am this morning (Thursday, July 6).
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police.
Anyone with dashcam footage or information they feel may be relevant has also been asked to make contact.
Information can be provided to police online by completing a form on the Gloucestershire Police website quoting incident 450 of July 5.
