A MAN from South Cerney charged with assault and causing unnecessary suffering to a child is due in court tomorrow.
The defendant, who is aged in his 50s, is alleged to have assaulted a woman on Tuesday, October 25.
He was also charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a child on the same day - contrary to the Children and Young Persons Act 1933.
In addition, the defendant has also been charged with driving a vehicle in Smiths Field, Cirencester without due care and attention on the same date.
The case is due to be heard at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Tuesday, June 27.
