CIRENCESTER residents have been invited to play their favourite tunes on a brand-new street piano which will be unveiled later this week.
This street piano has been provided by The Corinium Hotel and Restaurant and located with permission from Cirencester Town Council, St John Baptist Parish Church and Whitewall Gallery.
Inspired by Bristol-based artist Luke Jerram’s Play Me I’m Yours Street Piano Project the town council hopes it will create a place for people to connect.
It will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Market Place in Cirencester on Wednesday, June 28 at around 1pm.
The man behind the idea David Sherriff, proprietor of The Corinium Hotel & Restaurant, has been busy adding the final decorations to the piano over the last few days.
David will bring the piano to the new site on Wednesday where it will remain until September.
It will available for use most days between 10am and 6pm.
