DRAMATIC parachute displays, carriage racing and live music will take place at a popular family event in Cirencester this summer.
The Cotswold Show will be returning to Cirencester Park for a jam-packed weekend on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2.
The Lightning Bolts Army Parachute Display Team will jump from thousands of feet up in the sky and descend with red smoke.
They are also planning to bring their army climbing wall for brave volunteers to tackle.
The Cotswold Show was founded in 1989 by The Earl Bathurst, who dreamed of creating an event for people from the countryside which was family friendly, educational and packed with entertainment.
More than 33 years later the show’s popularity continues to grow, seeing visitors from near and far enjoying a fun day out with their families.
Another new addition to this year's show is the Squib Freestyle Motocross aerobatic display team, who will be performing stunts with a floorshow.
There will be multi-rider line-ups choreographed to music with commentary.
Returning for the first time since the Covid pandemic is the British Scurry and Trials Driving Team.
Teams of horses and carriages race will against the clock around a course of cones to try and get the fastest time.
Equestrian enthusiasts can also revel in the wonders of the famous Ben Atkinson Action Horses.
There will also be a food festival tent crammed full of a vast range of food produce and beverages.
Local chefs will be showcasing their skills in the live cookery theatre over the weekend.
Talented chefs from all over the Cotswolds from popular eateries such as Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden, Cirencester based cookery school and Edible by Aggy are just a few names set to enter the cooking theatre.
There will be plenty of activities to keep all of the family entertained including wall climbing, archery, shooting, beekeepers and blacksmiths.
In addition, there be a petting farm, a dog show, falconry, Morris dancers, horse whispering, steam engines and vintage tractors.
