A POPULAR garden in Gloucestershire has been ranked as one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in the UK.
Batsford Arboretum, situated in Moreton-in-Marsh, placed seventh on Sun Bingo's Blossom Hotspot index.
This arboretum is home to a unique collection of some of the world's most beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and bamboos which spread across 56 acres.
Snowdrops in the gardens are followed by spring-flowering bulbs and spectacular Japanese flowering cherries in the spring.
Researchers at Sun Bingo scored individual locations that showcase the pink confetti flowers around the UK out of 10.
They retrieved this data based on the number of Google searches, size of the parks and the time it would take to walk around the park.
The Gloucestershire-based blossom hotspot scored four points out a possible 10 available.
From mid-March to early May, the beautiful National Collection of Japanese Flowering Cherries take over as the stars of the show in the arboretum.
Dunster Castle in Somerset took top position on the list, scoring 9.3 and was rated as the most idyllic location for spotting blossoms this spring.
RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey was ranked second-best blossom hotspot to visit this spring with a score of 7.8 out of 10.
It is also the second-largest park in the list, taking approximately 97 minutes to walk around.
Kew Gardens in London ranks third on the list of blossom hotspots, with an overall score of 7.5.
The Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre are open from 9.30am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sundays.
Last entry into the arboretum is 4pm.
