A MAN won an electrical vehicle charger in a school action which raised more than £1,000 towards a volunteering trip to Ghana.
A group of year 9 and year 10 students from Cirencester Deer Park School set up an online action which raised £1,200 on Friday, May 12.
Ross was the lucky winner of the top prize, a 7kW Home Series Plus Electric Vehicle Charger from Simpson & Partners.
He collected the charger, retailed at £759, from Simpson & Partners' headquarters at Kemble Business Park near the Cotswold Airport.
Ross said: "The colours and quality of the chargers are even better for real than in the photos."
Director of Simpson & Partners Mandy Simpson said: "Our neighbour's daughter mentioned her school's auction to us when she was babysitting.
"We’re delighted to support such a worthy experience that will stay in the memories of these students forever."
The students will be supporting young people with their learning, sports and community development in Ghana.
Pupils involved in the auction want to thank all the local Cirencester businesses for their donations.
