Stanton, Gloucestershire

Stanton is home to a village club, a church and a pub, ideal for socialising with locals.

There are also a few places to stay including B&Bs if you fancy exploring the village over a couple of days.

Painswick, Gloucestershire

Painswick is about a 20-minute drive from Gloucester and there’s plenty to do in the town.

Whether you’re looking to play some golf at the golf club or go on a walk around The Rec or Painswick Rococo Garden, the town has a few activities available.

There are multiple options to stay in the town if you wish to with hotels, lodges, B&Bs and more available.

Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

Keen cyclists can take in the views of Nailsworth’s stream when using the cycle track which continues through to Stonehouse.

The town is home to League One side Forest Green Rovers FC and it’s about a 40-minute drive to Gloucester.

Nailsworth offers a variety of restaurants including an Italian, a seafood restaurant and a Chinese takeaway but that’s not all as there’s also Bangladeshi food and more available in the town centre.

Tetbury, Gloucestershire

Tetbury has a few places to offer for locals and visitors who want to enjoy food and drinks out and about.

The town sits in between Bristol and Cirencester and south of Gloucester, all of which are under a 50-minute drive away.

Malmesbury, Wiltshire

Both the River Avon and Tetbury Avon run through Malmesbury.

The town is home to play areas, a cricket club, restaurants and more.

Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire

This town has its own independent cinema and a museum and heritage centre.

There’s also a library and playing field plus Bristol and Gloucester are around 45 minutes away.

Castle Combe, Wiltshire

This village has been featured in films such as The Wolf Man, Stardust and War Horse, according to Visit Wiltshire.

There are both dining and accommodation options in the village and if visitors want to continue exploring, Bath is about 35 minutes away by car.

Badminton, Gloucestershire

The Badminton Estate can be found in the village and visitors can explore the gardens or even celebrate a wedding or party there.

Bath and Bristol are both within 15-18 miles of Badminton.

Frampton on Severn, Gloucestershire

This village boasts both a marina and sailing club plus some eateries.

Bristol is about 37 minutes away by car and Bath is just under an hour away.

Framilode, Gloucestershire

This village is right next to the River Severn and around 30 minutes from Gloucester by car.

Cheltenham is also reachable in about 30-40 minutes from the village by car.
