CIRENCESTER’s arts scene is getting a modern contemporary twist this Christmas with a new pop-up gallery.

Oink Gallery which is originally from Old Town, Swindon, is known for its street and pop art style.

The independent gallery has taken over a shop unit on Cricklade Street from December 2 until January 8 2023.

There will be over 30 artists on display including a work by renowned street artist, Banksy and one by Damien Hirst.

The works have come from as far away as glamourous locations such as L.A, Amsterdam, Norway, London and as close as Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Since opening Oink six years ago, owner, art collector and interior designer Mark Pepperall, 49, has noticed a real change in the art scene and what people are choosing to hang in their homes.

“For me it has always been about colour, texture and vibrancy,” Mark said.

“Something I learnt from working in branding, interior design and travelling to galleries across the world.

“The Cotswolds, specifically Cirencester, is somewhere I have always wanted to exhibit and now we get the chance – I can’t wait to meet everyone and showcase our artists' works.

“Artists include London street artist Pure Evil, Marit Geraldine Bostads beautiful contemporary paintings, Andrew J Millar’s striking emotive polaroid’s and Jean-Lucs Haunting Portraits to name a few.

“The collection includes original paintings, Limited Edition art prints and some small framed gems all especially curated for this show.

“I believe we have something for everyone.”

Oink Pop-up will be open on 23 Cricklade Street from Monday to Saturday 10.30am until 4.30pm.
