A BUSINESS in the Cirencester town centre is to shut after more than a decade.

Xanadu at the Stable Yard, which sells garden furniture, gifts, homeware and more and is based in Black Jack Street, will close by the end of the month.

The impact of the Covid pandemic, supply chain issues, the war in Ukraine and the recession have all contributed to this decision, which was announced today on social media.

"Sadly, after trading for over 10 years, the time has come for us to close our beloved shop," read the post.

"Times are hard for us all at the moment and we just can't struggle on any longer.

"Covid, the supply chain issues, the war in Ukraine and the recession have all taken their toll.

"We would like to thank each and every one of you that has supported us in the last decade.

"We will be having a closing down sale in the next few days and shut the shop by the end of December."
