POPULAR Cirencester store, Gardiner Haskins has announced the outlet will remain closed on Boxing Day this year.
Retail director Steve Whitcombe said the closure would allow their staff to spend both Christmas Day and Boxing Day at home with their families.
Gardiner Haskins has been a fixture on the Cirencester High Street for over 40 years, opening originally in April 1979.
Mr Whitcombe added: “Our staff have worked hard all year and we are pleased to repay that hard work with an extra day off on Boxing Day.
“We hope our customers understand this and the rest of our festive hours allow everyone to get their Christmas Shopping done locally.”
Gardiner Haskins will close their doors at 4pm on Saturday, December 24 and reopen again at 9am on Tuesday, December 27.
Throughout the rest of the festive period the store will open as normal from Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm excluding Bank Holidays.
Christmas Eve the opening hours will be 9am to 4pm and December 27 and January 2 will be 9am to 5pm.
