A DEDICATED fundraiser has raised over £4,000 for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Cotswold District Councillor councillor Roly Hughes has raised thousands for the charity since 2019.
This year he has raised £4,280 in just two weeks whilst fundraising inside Cirencester's Tesco Metro in Farrell Close.
“The charity is dear to my heart,” he said.
“I love to volunteer for the poppy collection due to having late members of my family in the forces along with my wife's family who served as well.
“It has been a fun fortnight, and a pleasure working with you all.
“On behalf of The RBL thank you all very much, in these hard times you have all been very generous.”
Money collected will be used to care for and support military families.
