The Big Feastival is returning this year, from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28 and ticket holders can expect to see artists such as Anne-Marie, Stereophonics, Sugababes and more perform at Alex James’ Farm in Kingham, Oxfordshire.
If you’re attending, it’s worth knowing which items are banned from the festival so here are the items you can’t bring to the event, according to the Big Feastival website.
Items that you can’t bring to the campsite at Big Feastival 2022
The festival has listed the items that are banned from the campsite at this year’s event and you can find the list via its website.
- Food or drink that’s over the allowed amount (1 case of beer/lager/cider or up to 1 litre decanted spirits)
- Glass (includes perfume)
- Animals except for guide dogs – you’ll need to let the festival know that you plan on bringing one with you via enquiries@thebigfeastival.com
- Any item that may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon
- Illegal substances – You might be searched and anything found that could be used in an offensive or illegal manner will be confiscated. Anyone suspected of carrying out illegal and/or offensive activities might also be searched and face eviction and criminal charges.
- Nitrous oxide under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016
- Flying or filming with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) also known as drones
- Unauthorised items for trading – includes goods using unauthorised logos
- Unofficial tabards or reflective jackets
- Electric skateboards, scooters and bicycles
- Aerosols over 250ml
- Sound system
- Megaphones
- Air horns
- Fireworks, Chinese lanterns, flares or generators – these will be evicted from the site and materials confiscated. Fires, flares, and fireworks will be extinguished by the onsite fire service.
- Open fires, stoves, disposable BBQs
- Portable laser equipment or pens
- Blow torches
- Kites
- Drums
- Gas bottles aren’t allowed in the public arena and they’re limited to below 2.2kg LPG in the camping area.
- No cooking in tents but can be done in the designated areas
- Any item or part of an item that could be considered potentially harmful to public safety

Additional items banned from within the main festival site
- Blow up lay sacks or large seating items
- Chairs and pop-up shelters within the bowl area in front of the main stage beyond the cordon line. Security will remove items.
- Alcohol from the camping area or car parks
- Cooking of food is not allowed
