An RAF Chinook helicopter will be transported through the Cotswolds this morning.
The abnormal load will begin its journey on the A40 at Burford at 9.30am.
Gloucestershire Police will then escort the vehicle along the A429 and A419 to its final destination of Hare Bushes in Cirencester.
The journey is expected to take about an hour and there may be delays on these roads as a result.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: "Due to the size of the helicopter and the escort taking narrow roads, drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or find alternative routes.
"Officers apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."
The escort is the reverse route to one conducted last week with a different helicopter.
