George Clooney is reportedly filming near Ashton Keynes for his new film, The Boys in the Boat.
According to locals, he was last seen in the Cleveland Lakes area.
A large production unit on location at the lakes has been photographed, with both film crews and Universal Studios vehicles seen at the site.
A resident in North Wiltshire with links to the cast has said they will also be recording some of the film in Ashton Keynes.
The upcoming American drama film directed by George Clooney, based on the non-fiction novel will also star Callum Turner, among many others.
According to Deadline.com, on March 3, 2011, The Weinstein Company acquired the film rights to the novel with Kenneth Branagh set to direct and Donna Gigliotti and Judy Hofflund producing.
Lantern Entertainment (the successor to The Weinstein Company) signed a worldwide distribution deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in October 2018.
It was announced in March 2020 that George Clooney would direct and produce alongside Grant Heslov, with Mark L. Smith writing the script.
One of the team's main rowers was a British boatbuilder in the story and Clooney was angling for the picture to be shot on the water near his mansion in Berkshire back in December 2021.
He told Baz Bamigboye's Daily Mail newspaper column: "There's an argument that some of the sporting scenes could be filmed over here but there's a lot to discuss before we reach that point."
