A competition is being held to determine who makes the best cocktail in Cirencester.
Venues, Sam & Jak, Ingleside and Seventeen Black are pitting their mixology skills against each other on May 13 - International Cocktail Day.
The idea came from Ingleside manager Ryan Walters, who will go head-to-head with Sam & Jak’s Alex O’Hara and Seventeen Black’s senior mixologist and director Dan Lafford.
A one-off event will take place at Ingleside to decide the winner, with an independent judging panel being put together to take the tough decision.
Ingleside’s Ryan said: “I will wipe the floor with these guys, I have come up with something extra special for this one and will reign victorious.”
Alex O’Hara of newly opened Cricklade Street restaurant and wine bar, Sam & Jak, was in equally buoyant spirits.
“I am confident that our summer drinks menu will showcase exactly what I can do. In my role here I can get plenty of practice in before the big day,” he said.
Details of the event will be announced at a later date.
