BOURTON on the Water's popular wildlife attraction, Birdland, will re-open to visitors next month.
Residents of the nearby area will be able to visit the park and gardens from April 12.
The park will initially be welcoming a limited number of visitors each day and everyone will have to pre-book online.
“We are delighted to once again be able to start welcoming visitors back to Birdland,” said manager Simon Blackwell.
“It’s been an incredibly challenging winter for everybody and it will be a great feeling to open the gates for the new season.
"Our team has been hard at work putting in place a series of additional cleaning and hygiene measures to ensure everybody can enjoy their visit safely."
Initially, Birdland’s indoor areas will not be open and there will be no daily talks or feeds.
“Spring is an extremely busy time in the bird world and lots of our residents have been building nests and laying eggs,” said Simon.
“While we have all been in lockdown they have been carrying on doing what comes naturally and seeing them continue to thrive and go about their daily lives is the perfect antidote to a very tough year."
Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Birdland is home to more than 500 birds and a display of life-sized dinosaurs.
Birdland is home to England’s only breeding colony of king penguins, birds of prey, parrots, cassowaries and cranes in a mix of free-flying and aviary displays.
