A PRIMARY SCHOOL is celebrating after being named in the Sunday Times top 250 State Primary Schools for the second year in a row.
The Sunday Times released the 2020 edition of the ParentPower Guide of the 500 top English state primary schools in the country, based on 2019 Key Stage 2 SATS results on Sunday, November 21.
Ashton Keynes C of E Primary School has excelled once again, coming 125th, up from its 2019 position of 212th, the only school in North Wiltshire in the table.
Headteacher, Samantha Saville said: "I was over the moon to learn that we are again in the Sunday Times top 500 state primary schools in the country.
"This time we are 125th, moving up from our 212th place last year.
"To feature anywhere in the list is a major achievement for the whole school as there are 16,769 state primary schools in England!
"The school has just opened three fantastic new classrooms and an impressive central learning hub atrium, with latest educational technology throughout, massively improving the learning environment for the children.
This will help us to continue to build on our success."
