I believe that it is a good start to our new Prime Minister premiership if he is going to different areas of the United Kingdom to get peace and unity among people.
The Bible commends peacemakers.
We are to seek peace and pursue it.
I believe negotiations can work with Irish people.
However there are people like in Bible times, who are for fighting.
The psalmist wrote: "I am for peace: but they are for war."
In his letter to the Romans St Paul wrote, "If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men."
We should pray for our leaders and remember who and where the Government is.
It is written, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Finally a word from John Wesley: 'I see God siting upon His throne ruling all things well.'
