IN A tough, competitive field, Liz Hulcup showed grit and determination to come first in her age group at the Eynsham 10k on Sunday, November 26. Coming back strongly from injury and illness, Liz clocked a time of 49:39.
Steph Lane also ran superbly to be place 3rd overall in the woman’s senior race in a time of 40:19.
In the men’s race, 3 Bourton Roadrunners featured in the top 25 overall in a quality field of almost 600 runners. Tim Carter came 7th overall (33:58), Cal Winwood was 15th (34:44) and Mike Smith 25th and 3rd MV40 (36:14).
Three Bourton Roadrunners achieved personal best (PB) times over the distance. Niamh Shoemark (41:11), Chris Lomax (42:16) and Kerry Taylor (45:34).
There were strong performances from all other Bourton runners: Darren Long (39:37); Robin Goodwill (40:04); Ian Shoemark (40:16); Andy Peaston (41:55); Chris Dry (48:24); Brian Hulcup (48:52); Graham Lane (49:29) and Linda Edwards(54:20).
