A CIRENCESTER motorist who was stopped by police in the town's Brewery car park, was found to be more than twice the legal drink-drive limit, a court heard.
Matthew Pinnock, 20, of Partridge Way, the Beeches, admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates.
He was in the car park in his Ford Fiesta on April 30.
Pinnock was found to have 77 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Magistrates adjourned the case until August 3 for a Special Reasons hearing to hear arguments why he should not be banned.
They granted the defendant unconditional bail.
