FIVE hundred children, from twenty schools, competed in an inter-schools cross country race at Westonbirt Schools on Wednesday, February 24.
The sun shone as pupils from year’s three to ten undertook a variety of cross country distances.
Westonbirt Prep Headmaster, Mr. Neil Shaw, said: “We were thrilled to host another amazing cross country event this year. In glorious sunshine the runners all participated enthusiastically and with great sporting spirt.
“We were delighted to be able to hold such a large event and welcome pupils from prep and primary schools across the region to enjoy our beautiful school grounds.”
Among the twenty schools taking part were Ann Edwards Primary School, Hatherop Castle, Katherine Lady Berkeley's, Kemble Primary School and Sherston Primary School.
