PLANS for 270 new houses on the outskirts of Cirencester could be given the green light as early as July if officers resolve highways issues with developers Robert Hichens Limited.
The application, for land between the London Road and Burford on the A419, will go before Cotswold District Council's planning committee and includes residential development, associated infrastructure, open space and landscaping.
Fifty percent of the development is expected to be affordable housing.
Senior planning officer at Cotswold District Council Mike Napper said he was confident the application would be decided within the usual eight weeks if highways and transport issues are satisfactory resolved.
He said: "I wouldn't want to give any specific timescale, there is a lot of information to amass. But we will be dealing with the application as soon as we can."
