A PROJECT to make exploring the countryside easier has boosted visitor numbers at Greystones Farm in Bourton-on-the-Water.
The Gravel to Grasslands project run by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust has given the public easy access to the farm and directions for the best views around the site.
Information about its landscape, archeology and wildlife is now available for visitors.
It has been hailed a success as nature lovers are now flocking from all over the country to see the farm.
Warden Tom Beasley-Suffolk said: "We are seeing an increase in visitors coming specifically to look at the farm. I have even had a small group of people from London."
"Originally it was a working farm and the only access was along public footpaths but we have added new footpaths."
The project, funded by Natural England, has not only seen visitor numbers soar but also volunteer workers.
There are now 15 volunteers working at Greystones Farm on a monthly basis to carry out jobs like hedge planting and dry stone walling.
