A HIGH-SPEED police chase through the Cotswolds ended in four teenagers being arrested last night.
The chase began when a red Subaru Impreza, stolen from an address in Fairford between April 21-22, rammed a police car on Station Road, Bourton-on-the-Water, at 11.10pm.
The officers in the vehicle pursued the stolen car from the Northleach roundabout along the A40 to Cheltenham.
The chase, involving a police Mitsubishi Evo vehicle and a helicopter, lasted 30 minutes during which time police used stingers to try and stop the car.
The car eventually stopped on Hudson Street and all four teenagers aged between 14 and 17 were arrested on the scene on suspicion of burglary and aggravated vehicle taking without consent.
A cash till believed to have been stolen from an ice cream kiosk on Station Road in Bourton on the same night was thown from the car window during the chase.
All four teenagers are currently in police custody.
