MORE than 200 walkers and their dogs joined forces in Fairford on Saturday to fight for the right to walk around a picturesque lake.
The protest was the latest development in an ongoing feud between dog walkers who use Lake 104 and Cygnet Investments, the company which recently had a planning application for 200 holiday homes and an 38-suite hotel turned down.
Protesters are unhappy with recent work around the lake, in particular changes to the footpath and the putting up of "unnecessary fencing" such as barbed wire.
Cygnet boss Mark Savage, however, said he was merely reinstating the true line of the footpath to comply with orders from Gloucestershire County Council.
