IT was smiles all round at The Cotswold School this morning as pupils received their GCSE’s results.

The school's top ranked student Kyla Bentinck-Henton earned nine A*s, an A distinction and an A
She said: “I’m extremely happy and proud of myself. All the hard work has paid off.
“It’s amazing to be the top student, I’m really shocked.”

Theo Godfrey achieved mainly A* results, with an A in French and an A distinction in maths.
He said: “I’m pretty surprised, particularly with the A* in English as it was a tough exam, and I’m really happy.”

Theo's parents came along to support and congratulate him.
“We are very proud and pleased with Theo’s results; he deserved it. Well done to the school and the students with all their results.”
Jack Bennett and Joe Adams
Friends Jack Bennett and Joe Adams said: “We’re feeling pretty good. We’re relieved now it’s all over and we did better than expected.” Jack achieved A’s and B’s with one C, while Joe earned A* and A’s.

Joe Salf, from Bourton, achieved nine A* and one A, with perfect results in Italian and RE.
“I’m extremely happy and so pleased, ” he said.
“It was a genuine surprise to get the perfect results as in the exam I didn’t think it had gone that well. I’m looking forward to staying here for my A levels.”
