PLANS for 74 houses in Bourton-on-the-Water have stalled because of a lack of information.
The controversial housing estate with landscaping, parking and garages will be built behind the Coach and Horses pub on Stow Road if permission is granted.
However, members of Cotswold District council's planning committee argued they did not have enough plans in front of them to make a decision at the planning meeting last week.
The councillors decided to visit the site themselves before making a decision.
Bourton district councillor Sheila Jeffery said: "The planning officer's report does not have the details that I would like and I am extemely concerned about this development for the North Cotswolds."
Cllr Girling said: "This report is appalling. For an application in Moreton for one house we have had pictures and detailed maps yet this application is for 74 houses and we don't have an idea of size or what it will look like."
