RELEGATED Cirencester Town would have conceded even more goals than they have this season were it not for the outstanding form of their first-choice goalkeeper, Kevin Sawyer.
Sawyer has probably been the Southern League Premier Division's best - and busiest - goalkeeper this season.
Such heroics make him a deserved winner of The Centurions' Player of the Month award, which is sponsored by the Standard.
Sawyer graduated through Cirencester's Academy ranks to become a first-team regular, before transferring to Salisbury City in 2002.
He returned to Cirencester earlier this season after four successful seasons as Salisbury's first-choice keeper, which culminated with City winning last season's Southern League Premier Division championship.
Town's supporters can vote for the Player of the Month by using ballot boxes kept in the Corinium Stadium's bar.
